.223 for varmints is a perfectly valid point. It is what, maybe even you, would say a rifle is intended for.
You can fire 28 rounds from an old British .303 which is a 10 round mag with a bolt action. It makes a fair sized hole.

You all keep talking about the tool and not the maniac.
What are you going to do to eliminate maniacs? I believe maniacs are the problem. You won't eliminate .223s.

The assault weapons ban just highlights the ignorance of the anti-gun crowd. The main determinant of what is banned or not is based on how "evil" the gun looks.
