Massive changes to the 2nd, just will not happen. Why? lol have fun passing a new amendment.
What should happen, is what should have happened for a while now, and this latest tragedy has done nothing to change. You do not make good policy from tragedies. Its either a good idea in calm quiet boring times, or its not.
There should be basic mental health checks on gun ownership. Which most likely could be passed through the legislature as is.
I also think the level of ideological exploitation that surged up literally minutes after it happened, is pretty f**k sickening.

I will also note, from the details of this case. And indeed from others, its not entirely clear if what I've suggested would have stopped this instance.
There is no way you can ever completely stop a person with tendency to a violent act without or without a mental health problem acquiring a weapon if they set their minds to it.
