However, the problem is being blamed on guns, not on other factors. The other factors get swept under the rug and the placebo of gun control is introduced, which solves next to nothing or less than nothing in some cases. Mexico, Brazil, others as well.

Again, developed world vs developing world argument is flawed. I do agree with you though that many in the anti-gun lobby do sweep other factors under the rug. I think all issues need to be addressed, as all are to blame.
