The Second Amendment should be abolished, and replaced by an amendment specifically delegating the power of gun regulation to the States, and forbidding the federal government from either curtailing or endorsing any gun legislation. This is an issue that ought to be decided at a state level. If Illinois doesn't want people open carrying, fine. If Texas does, fine.
No doubt you are going to argue to suppress the individual liberties of Americans by infringing upon their right to regulate guns (or not) as they see fit.

Yes, you have a natural right to self-defense (actually you don't because the entire natural rights philosophy is laughably stupid but I'll let it slide). Of course just because I have the right to speak freely doesn't mean I can issue death threats. So your right to self-defense is subject to limitations and substantive prohibitions.
