Yeah, but if you said that the man wasn't just any man, but in fact a magician who could conjure spells and dragons and unicorns, and you believed that he was behind the door only because some peasants in the first century organized a cult around the belief and your parents happened to be born into the cult and indoctrinated you into it as well, I would tell you that you are an idiot to believe so.

The man behind the door analogy is a reasonable way to show the rationale behind being agnostic. But as Hurf has pointed out, using it as a basis for making affirmative statements of any kind is idiotic.

Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.
