Well in Israel I think the violence has a lot more to do with ethnic and nationalistic conflicts than actually religion. The Jewish "People" come into play rather than the Jewish faith. But either way it's a pretty impressive record compared to most major religions.
The Jewish "I got mine" mentality toward eternal salvation seems, all in all, to be very good for those poor souls who aren't among God's chosen people.

I don't know about that Philly. The really crazy Zionists are fundamentalist Jews. And much of the settler terrorism is committed by extreme Orthodox Jews.

Its not the wrong god. Its that they believe Israel is the Holy Land. Shit son, the Evangelical Lobby in the states is probably the only reason why Israel still gets as much US support as it does.
Like I said, nationalism is the biggest influence... But religion is huge there. A dedicated minority of religious people can exercise massive influence on any state.
