evolution leaves us imperfect, but there are no spare parts in the belly of an aircraft. there's not vestigial feet or anything. yes, they are certianly not the same at all. while both technological advancement and evolution are iterative, each iteration with technology you can say "throw everything out, we're starting over"

Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.

None of that answers the question. Why did we develop technology when nothing else in the history of evolution developed technology, then questioned the universe and our place in it, all at a pace much faster then plain evolution? Dumb luck or something else?
