Just using Islam as an example but if the caliph hadn't f**k itself so early you would have seen an evolution like the church did. I would bet money on it. Instead you have fractured factions making up their own uses with no one telling them to stop with any authority

I'm not sure is true atheism is all that prevalent in American society. I don't think it's at the 2.4 percent that Zeugma claims.

But I don't think it's very widespread either.

Most people I have met in my life profess to believe in some form or other. They aren't willing to say that there simply is nothing beyond materialism. But persons professing belief in any organized religion certainly has fallen. Hence my claim in my previous post that the established church is in crisis.

Eons ago the space critters probably screwed neanderthals and made man (or manipulated DNA). Man then probably called the space critters Gods. As we probably would today if the space critters showed up armed with a bag of techno tricks and the correct wardrobe. But who really knows?

I'm not sure which is the more illogical. To believe in gods or to think that aliens interbred with humans.

I guess it's a toss up.

But I'm not buying the alien "theory" for sure.
