it's a method of argumentation, or rather, a method of viewing two opposing forces and how they resolve themselves. to suggest that viewing two opposing forces is always a dialectic is an incredible dumbing down of the term into meaninglessness. so yes, it is a method of looking at something. it is a dialectic
and without berkeley there is no hume so i guess they might as well have been the same philosopher.
oh wait, that's outrageous because they were totally opposed to one another despite using similar methods and theories.
