In short I think a big issue the "church" has is its unholy relationship with a certain brand of politics. I'm not just talking about the social issues (abortion/gay marriage) but polls show that regular church-goers are more likely to support things like military action and torture.

We need to get our house in order on that one.

need to kill off the protestants or convert them to catholicism.


i'll just bring up a point i always do: decentralized churches with authority given to them by themselves to interpret the words of god is going to lead to radicalism. it's not a f**k coincidence that islam has no religious authority outside the local imam and has produced some of he most bastardized and radical forms of religion in he modern era.

sure there are radical catholics. there always will be. but as an institution i would consider catholicism to be pretty tame. they've really embraced the whole love thing jesus talked about. (controversies aside).

where do you see most of this insanity with Christianity today? it's protestant sects.

As organizations sure Methodists or whatever are more liberal but in so far as radicalism is concerned its really on the shoulders of Protestants. And it doesn't take a majority to poison the well. Well see in the coming generations thOugh if the up and comers reform their radical churches to be more open.

Also catholics pretty much think anyone gets in to heaven now. So while you might use a condom whatevs were still homies.

I like the Catholics a lot, if only they didn't think that girls were gross.
