About 37 percent of the religiously unaffiliated say they’re spiritual but not religious.

Americans are a lot more religious than Europeans. But in defense of Americans, American churches are way better than European ones for young people.

Its just semantics, if youre not religious then in a way youre still atheist.

no. non-religious means you aren't part of a specific religion. atheist means you don't think there's a god.
belief in god is not dependent on a religion.

Non-religious is atheist by default- you dont have to deny a god to be atheist- if you dont do the usual worship rituals and go on with your life with no regard to that god's teachings then youre pretty much an atheist in all but name.
