Came today... I'm liking it a lot. Not really thrown a lot at it yet but I have installed the full suite of Office 2013 products, they all work great. The type keyboard is quite decent. The picture quality on Netflix and HBO go is outstanding. Speakers are meh, but to be expected, but external speaker(s) work well. The mini display port to hdmi works very good to hook up to a larger screen. I'm getting a docking station for home just to see how that works out, I suspect it will be work well. I honestly can see this (especially if/when they come out with 256/512gb models) as replacing the desktop in both my home and office.
As far as Windows 8, I can see why they made the new start page for touch devices, I still have some playing around with it to get comfortable with it, but I don't see much of a learning curve. The desktop "mode" is identical to windows 7sans the start button, but one has access to all that stuff via the little popout menu. Honestly as long as it runs everything that ran on windows 7 I see it as a pretty seamless transition in the business environment.
Oh the Mrs wants one now.
