Read it a couple of times, still not quite sure who did what when, but it looks as if Amazon required the same price parity clause that Apple got after Apple got it?

Anyway, I personally do not care about the big publishers at all, they are going to continue their downward slide into the abyss where they belong. I have been reading almost exclusively quality Indy Authors/Small Publishers via the Kindle (probably 30 something books so far this year). I think I've paid more than $4.99 for one such book, most are at $2.99 or less. I am happy. I have 3-4 legacy authors that I will continue to buy their books via mainstream publishers, but that is it.

Well I think what we hope is that the entire publishing industry collapses, and instead we offer authors the ability to publish their works directly to the Amazon and Apples of the world. Right now, it's an inefficiency in the economy that must be corrected.

But yeah, basically the DoJ is saying Apple was all bad and ebook pricing, well, turns out they weren't the only ones....

Apple's problem is going to be trying to defend the arrogant (as always) Steve Jobs pretty much admitting the price fix as on..

Well I sold my Kindle long ago. But I want to read more than indy stuff. There are mainstream books I want to read. So until that's fixed we're stuck (and yes I blame the publishers) in antique business models.
