Need a new toy-- Samsung Chromebook (3G)

Amazon's Fire has turned out to be a big disappointment.. So my Christmas toy might be a Samsung Chromebook (3G, 11.6-Inch)...$329.... For the price it might be an interesting toy. I've been reading good things about it, but yes it does have limitations.. Anyway it also comes with a 2 year, 3g plan.. Only 100mb a month, but if in a pitch, that could be useful...
When the Chromebooks came out I was interesting in trying one out.. And at this price, with 3g?? Why not?
So anyone out there have one? Seen one in person? Handled one?
Any info will be appreciated.

Of course a deal breaker may be the release date for the 3g was suppose to be Oct 31th.. Well, that didn't happen and I can't find any new date for if, or when it will be released..
