You just made some crazy shit up about cartels infiltrating these groups of citizens and taking them over without any basis whatsoever other than to make a point that you think these groups should be state regulated.

some thoughts

1. vigilantism was basically the system we had here until the mid to late 19th century. worked ok outside of slave states (and even then ok if one wasn't a slave).

2. this won't get rid of the cartels (too much $$$$$ to be made) but some push-back may decrease the amount/sadism of the violence cartels are causing.

I am going to put aside my role as an Ethics Committee member momentarily. Why? To point out how godawful stupid you can be when it comes to jumping to conclusions. It is annoying as f**k. It makes me want to commit suicide because I am so depressed that our society has made survival so easy as to allow a person with your intellectual capacity to exist.

I don't want them to be brought under state control because that state is a totally corrupt and will inevitably result in the deaths of these vigilantes. Your own article says they will only be allowed to keep their weapons if they register them - the list and location of said weapons and who owns them will be leaked to the cartels in no time. Meanwhile the cartels will band together to counter this threat - first by raising wages for workers and secondly by importing all sorts of professional warriors to kick the living shit out of these groups, which might have had a chance prior to being coopted by the very institution responsible for the violence.

Finally, I made a prediction. Not a description of present facts. In your usual frantic and pathetic manner, you've embarrassed yourself and the entire history of mankind by trying to highlight the very utility of predictions as some sort of fatal flaw in my argument.
