Inappropriate or asking for it?

My two cents......and I expect change back.....

Do I personally feel a woman or girl is asking to be sexually touched by wearing something sexy? No. That's absurd. She doesn't deserve anything. However, its the same reason why so many don't let their preteen daughters wear thong bikinis.....because it increases the RISK of something happening. Does that mean a woman shouldn't wear a thong? No. But she should understand that with wearing that comes risks. Just like speeding. Not everyone who speeds gets into an accident, but it's pretty much a given that speeding increases the risk of something happening. Does it mean a speeder deserves to wreck and die? Of course not. And you can stomp your feet and say "but that's not right!" and I'd totally agree with you, a woman shouldn't have to worry about that when wearing something sexy, but the fact is, she does.

It's all about risk management, ironically enough, my college major.

Well, then I guess performers should never do personal appearances or take pics standing with their fans or get near the crowds for audience involvement moments or.......

They should all just surround themselves with bodyguards and push everyone away. Of course, then we can have threads about them being self important, out of touch jackasses who build personal space bubbles around themselves.

And she chose to go the route of telling the idiot who didn't quite understand it was inappropriate to ass grab her that that wasn't OK, so now and in the future most of the idiots who think it's OK to ass grab someone should have a better idea that it's not. What the hell is wrong with that?

But, I guess if it ever does happen to Reba, she should be OK with it. After all, not only does she dress all sexy and everything, she did do that song about turning out a teenage daughter to become a high end prostitute. She should probably just expect it. As she said in the song, "You be nice to the gentlemen, they'll be nice to you."
