Guys - y'all realize what you're saying?
- Regular citizens arming themselves
- Training with those arms
- Out patrolling their neighborhoods at all hours of day and night
- Looking for people who might be committing or about-to-commit a crime
- Confronting those people (else, why be armed and trained in hand-to-hand combat?)
Just add "lives in a gated community in Florida" and you'll have Treyvon Martin all over again!

its to keep cops from shooting unarmed neighborhod kids etc. And officials there have stated its perfectly legal. Really it is sort of a community militia. The main difference is that they are urban rather than rural as most "militias" are.
That and they actually have need for collective defense while most rural militias are weekend warrior types whose communities aren't under attack or being exploited
