And the real problem in Alabama is the Chief Justice doesn't know the law, and the governor refuses to enforce it. I guarantee you judges around the country would hesitate and not admit marriage licenses if their superiors told them. Compounding the problem is that judges are also elected, meaning they actually do have to respond to a constituency in a way judges in other states do not.

Yes I agree that it is a different circumstance, but that being the case, you're only speculating that PA would be the same as Alabama if they had that system.
