Hard as it may be to believe, but people have enjoyed life long before the advent of the internet. I doubt he will be denied social contact for ever. That would be considered cruel, and that goes against the whole philosophy of Scandinavian um, 'justice'.
For what its worth, I accept for a fact that Scandinavia in general has a much lower crime rate and more social cohesion than Britain and the US, but this has more to do with the fact that they have a much smaller population that is not as urbanised, and their average gdp per capita is higher and more equally spread out across the social classes. Their comparatively lower crime rate has nothing to do at all with the lack of justice given out by the penal system, and everything to do with other factors that Scandinavia has been blessed with...
