Or, an alternative could be that money is not used between individuals within a communal group, but some form of medium of exchange could exist to facilitate trade with other communal groups.
Ideally the freest possible conditions for the individual can be met, and to my thinking, that could entail many variations of viable social groupings.
Panarchy I think is another workable idea. I could live in my anarcho-communist community while literally living next door to someone who belongs to a conservative community, or a marxist community. Each community would have it's own way of organizing its members, and have agreements with the other communities about inter-community relations. Also people would belong to other types of voluntary associations such as trade guilds, environmentalist groups, vacation bible school or what have you.
Individuals would be subject to the social dynamic of their associations, and there would be arrangements that these been have made with other associations and this would provide a superior, socially conscious method of organization.
100,000 city states. One for every taste.
