At the beginning of the season I predicted Yu Darvish was a serious Cy Young candidate and I missed it by one spot. Damn you Max Scherzer for screwing up my prediction.

How desperate were the Tigers to get rid of Fielder? Kinsler is a nice player and all, but just him and the Tigers give the Rangers $30 mil to take Fielder off their hands..
And nice move by Rodriquez.. He storms out of HIS APPEALS hearing to keep from testifying under oath.. Then shows up at WFAN and lies throughout the whole interview, but at least it wasn't under oath.. LOL

Rumor is the Mets are talking to the Brewers about a possible deal for Ryan Braun.
I can see that the Brewers want to move on and get rid of him.. He's been a PR disaster for 2 years now. And maybe even Braun wants to go somewhere else and start over.. It makes sense for the Mets too, they need bats in the worse way... But starting over in NYC? I don't know if he has the gonads, and the personality to handle the NY press. At 1st they'll rake him over the coals about PED's and what he and his legal hit team did to Laurenzi and his family. There's been many players in all the major sports who can't play in the bigger cities like NY, Boston and LA.. But especially NY.. The press can be brutal.
It is a tough call..

Yankee haters are loving this off-season.. The Yanks lost Petite, lost Rivera, lost Hughes,AND their 2 'best pitchers' are both coming off very questionable years.. CC is definitely on down-side, and Kuroda had a great 1st half, but completely folded the 2nd half..
They need pitching desperately, so what do the Yanks do? They spend a billion's $'s on position players! God I hope they do re-sign Cano. Baseball is 80% pitching.. So they can just keep over spending for position players then in August next year they'll have pitch Rookie league, and minor league A pitchers and losing 13-11 games..
