agreed. it's annoying as a large country but it makes playing as a small one nearly impossible. if i can't chase down armies and destroy them, it becomes a battle of attrition and a larger country will win every single time, no matter what.
i'm also of the opinion they need to fix overextension. it's not currently based on any coherent ratio or percentage, it's just a flat value dependent on the wealth of a province, which is stupid.

i love ck2, it's easily their best game. but as far as multiplayer is concerned i don't think it really shines. there's just not enough options to play unless you want to be someone's vassal.

true, the multiplayer ive seen with ckII is generally succession games, i just thought the grand campaign would be fun. i really like vicky II as well, but it is rather overwhelming at first
CKII lux invicta is fun, if slightly buggy (by buggy i'm referring to random crashes). i like that you have 18 kids, 3 of which made it past age 1

vicky II is overwhelming because, well, of course, there's not much explaining what is what, and you need to have industry chains going on to build up to great power status to exert influence etc. my invasion of america by japan in 1911 or so had one battle in san francisco. it took years to complete the battle because of the reinforcements on both sides. but... that was warfare at the time, so i'm okay with it. plus when it finished i got 87% warscore and US was almost knocked off great power status and I took their westcoast from them. mexico even took advantage of the situation and seized texas, sneaky latinos
changes to EU4 means battling in mountains take forever and smaller defending forces can rape. i accidentally got involved in a mountian battle that took over a year. that shit shouldn't happen in 1701
