LA Riots were for real about something too. I mean cops brutally and repeatedly beat a restrained man, the whole thing is clearly captured on camera, and the guys who did it are acquitted. That's something deserving of a riot.

Compare the Crown Heights Riot a year earlier. Race riot fueled by tension between Black and Jewish residents of Brooklyn. Riot began with a Rabbi getting into a car accident. Things escalated. Derp.

They were about something but they didn't have a real purpose. It was more like opening a steam valve to relieve pressure... Not like using that steam to shoot projectiles at your enemy. Any pissed off group is good at destroying things and running wild. I am referring to action with a purpose... Like seizing a police station or shutting down intersections or opening parade routes.
