See, this is a perfect embodiment of my drug analogy. Is cocaine good for you? No. Is it good for society? No. Is it nonetheless entirely possible for a person to use cocaine from time to time, while not hurting himself or others in any significant way, simply for the sake of amusement? Of course. The people who argue otherwise are weak and damaged people, who seek solace from their weakness to cocaine by adopting abstinence philosophies, condemning those who can handle it, dismissing the possibility of moderate use, etc.
You are simply protecting your own inability to resist racism while being exposed to it. The rest of us can laugh at an offensive joke because we are capable of separating reality from stereotype; as a known racist, this is difficult for you, because you haven't developed fully, and are still stuck in juvenile self-loathing. You hate your own racist tendencies, and so ask that everyone else change so you don't have to confront your personal failings.
