i turn this on about 10 seconds before the us scores first goal, so i continue to watch but i am again reminded of one of my main beefs with watching it. the announcers are surprised as anyone else as to when the game ends, 2 seconds after the portuguese goal at the end. i was told by the british announcer there would be 5 minutes of added time, but they scored at 95:30 or something like that, which is 30 seconds more than 5 minutes.
stop the clock and you have a comprehensible watchable game. it's garbage as is. complete garbage. i don't know how you people stomach this shit. ref lets it go for just long enough to end the game in a tie (real sports try to give some sort of decision at the end btw) then calls it immediately afterward -- whenever he feels like stopping the clock. while the ref would control the clock still by stopping and starting it, he couldn't just let it go until WHENEVER
