Heh. Now that EA is finally allowing an offline version of SimCity, and opening it up to modders, I might give it a whirl.

Oh God those really expensive biodomes? Yeah, destruction please. I suppose in the Sims too you could eventually work your way up to criminal mastermind and get the mansion you always wanted...

Although internet 1.0 was a slow, dysfunctional mess there were a lot of cool funny personal sites and a lot less "top 10 ways market your website" and "20 things you should do in your 20s". People who put stuff online were typically genuinely interested in the content they created instead of just saying, "let me plagiarize/ halfa*s this list-icle" and dump a catchy headline to hopefully get 20k pageviews. Now with the ease of creating your own website and publishing online there is just wayy to much shi**y content being produced.
