Honestly, the winter olympics really aren't "olympics", more of a sideshow for countries like Canada butthurt about the fact their live in an arctic wasteland for 8 months a year.

Summer games are the true olympics. I don't mind not doing well in the afterthought olympics, as long as we dominate the real tests of physical strength, endurance and competition...like basketball or 100M dash.

One thing the summer games could learn from the winter games: more shooting events.

9 men's, 7 women's, but yes, there should be more. they should have high power competitions. they should have specifics for each of the service guns, as well as opens. plus they should have like 1000yd competitions

the problem is that many countries don't allow such weapons to be used by civilians, so they'd hate us for our freedoms and try to stop us because we'd probably just get gold, like we do in most sports. still, you'd think they could send some military if need be

the summer pentathlon should change, but a endurance and shooting event like winter's biathlon is quite the test and i enjoy it. i myself haven't mastered shooting with elevated heartrate
