At the conclusion of 2012, the "Philly Bauce PCF Man of the Year" Award will be bestowed upon one poster who exemplifies excellence in character and integrity. A new thread will be created to announce the winner who will be chosen among 4 nominees from various regions of the United States. The winner shall have the respect and esteem of all fellow posters. In addition, disagreeing with the "Man of the Year" award winner in any thread during January 2013 will result in an immediate 3 month ban (this shall be enforced by uebermann).

Q: Can I improve my chances of winning by increasing the quality of my posts?
A: No. This award does not take into account the quality of your recent posts, though all are encouraged to improve their posting quality in order to qualify for "Philly's Top 5 Posters"

Q: Can a female poster win the "Man of the Year" award?
A: Yes. "Person of the Year" just didn't have the same ring to it.

Q: You say 4 nominees will be chosen from various regions of the United States. What about forum members who are not from the United States?
A: Non-Americans are ineligible for the "Philly Bauce PCF Man of the Year" Award.

the only thing i care about is that i'm in the running for both of these awards.

Have to see, i've had something like this in the works for a while, can't decide whether to recruit a panel or not. There is already a short list though.
