Do you care about online life? Is the internet meaningful?

This is sparked by a "discussion" a few of us have been having elsewhere tonight.
I am just curious about how people perceive this community, and what it means to them.
Do you care about this forum? Do you care about the people on it? Would you be at all upset if one of the posters here left, or if PCF disintegrated again, but never got brought back?
I personally do care about this forum, and I think I have developed meaningful relationships with a few posters on here. I've learned alot, and I'd be pretty upset if PCF didn't exist.
It seems that some people don't care about the forums in any real sense, it is just a way to waste time. Nothing wrong with that, I just found it curious - why bother spending so much time on something you don't care about?
Feel free to expand in any way you want.
