Never had much good or bad to say about Maryland. Simply didn't come up on conversation that often.

However, I now know something about this Great State that Every Other State Should Emulate. Maryland was the only state that refused to enforce Prohibition. Yes, that's right - Marylanders (Marylandians? Marylandrieus?) were so devoted to their spirits that they defied the Federal government so that they could continue imbibing.

Here's to you, Maryland!

(And we thought that Colorado was cool for legalizing pot!)

Colorado was going through a lame stage then. (1915 to 1970 or so)

Minnesota and Montana also half-assed the whole prohibition thing.
