I feel like every state would have survivors. And I also feel like places like NYC would be surprisingly adept at surviving. After the initial kill off there would be so much room so high on the sky.

I have a theory

zombies, and the battle against them, represent our culture's subconscious fears of our personal identities being subsumed by an inhuman society, one made up of a ravening, mindless horde of cannibals.

Seems accurate. The population centers would collapse in very short order without the massive movement of food and supplies.

Too much weight given to Military personnel. I'll take our states #1 ranking in survival skills and #2 ranking in guns over a bunch of jetters any day, lol.

I think Zombies would literally freeze over the winter here, so icepicks would be in high demand. People in Calgary and the prairies would do so well, given the cold, the natural barriers surrounding the area and the abundance of food and energy supplies.

Florida would survive 2nd best. We would all just move to Cuba.
