But I love the Colbert Report... Goddamnit. Oh well. Maybe the Late Show will actually be funny again.

Colbert in character as host of the Late Show would be brilliant. Not exactly the sort of inoffensive drivel that networks would want, however. Sadly.

Does anyone know what Colbert "out of character" even acts like? He started as a writer with Jon Stewart, doing character things. Then he was a correspondent, in character. Then the Colbert Show, in character.
What is he really like?
