I'm a NFL fan, but I seldom follow the draft.. But this year I will be interested in the when and where Manziel will be drafted. In the past in some years IMO teams were pressured into drafting players that deep down they had to know would be failures, Teabow being #1 on that list.. Vince Young is up there too..
I don't follow college football, and as I said I don't follow the draft either.. But from what I've read and seen of Manziel IMO he is almost a certain failure in the NFL.. Yes he could get on a bad team, a team that has no where to go but up and make a splash for 8-10 games. But overall I just don't see him being good, or maybe even in the league in 3 years.. IMO picking him early in the draft is a wasted pick.

For me the most intriguing part of the draft is the big reveal of a teams philosophy, creativity, and the overall clarity of an organization.

Young was a failure.. Pro Bowl in the NFL means NOTHING. As the 3rd overall pick in a draft a QB has to have more than one, maybe if we stretch it 2 decent years.. In his 3rd pro year he was BENCHED and the Titans still went 13-3...
He was a failure..

The injury was only for a few weeks, when he was healthy again he had lost his job..
As for not getting along with his coach.. Is that all the coach's fault? As the years went on it became pretty clear Young was as the say a 'head case'.. He had off the field problems.. He showed up late for team meetings, if he showed up at all...
Last year the Pack tried him, and dropped him before the season even started.. And no one else picked him up.. So I don't know why you're saying he's good enough to play on 1/3 the teams.. Last year there was teams that needed a QB, but they all passed on Young...
This year it looks like the Browns will try him.. He wouldn't last..
