Rank the Supreme Court justices in order of intellect, in your estimation. Dylan, and Saz too I suppose, feel free to do the same. This being a public forum I suppose I can't tell the rest of you not to chime in.

Right off the top of my head...
John James Marshall
Earl Warren
Hugo Black
Meh. I'm not thinking too much about this. But that's a quickie.

If I had to take a swing at it...
Roberts
Ginsburg
Scalia
Kennedy
Kagan
Thomas
Soto
Not that it really matters. All are plenty intelligent enough to do the job and significantly smarter than 99% of people, making most of our estimations of intellect baseless. Scalia is the best writer I think though and so comes across as the wittiest.

Case in point:
Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. maybe the smartest dude to ever sit on the court. So f**k smart they still teach his decisions in law school, DESPITE THE FACT, that they were all terrible (unless you are Galt, then you love them).

I don't know why you guys are putting Scalia so high up there. Yeah he has a bold style but in terms of rationality...
