Yes. Very well. Yes. Yes. Depends which fall below value due to irrational investor reactions to negative news.

I've made solid money off Intel and Groupon by buying once the sell off is over. 50% off Intel in a couple of months and 20% off Groupon in a month or so.

I shorted JC Penney last year. That went extremely well. Haven't been doing any active trades since, really, just the standard monthly investment into a bunch of ETFs that happens automatically. Trying to time the thing is self defeating. Takes decades to get anywhere anyways, ups and downs considered. When it gets high like this it totally kills my enthusiasm. Far too pessimistic to be bovine.

The market is waaaaay over-inflated.. Has been for 2+ years.. But IMO because of high frequency trading there's no way for the average guy to get a feel for the market..

I made my money on the market years ago, when with a little homework even the little guy could get a feel for what was happening, or going to happen.. Now? there's good news news? The market goes up.. But even when there's bad news it goes down for a day, then goes up for a week.. There's no rhythm or reason anymore.. They're just trading on trends.. In this economy the DOW is 17,000?? LOL, no f'ing way.. BUT the very scary thing is if the sh1t does hit the fan you can lose everything overnight..

Now? I'm just coasting.

I've got quite a bit in right now if it tanks I'll mortgage everything and put more in

my shares of mountain dew and doritos have been steadily rising.
