OK Bill Maher, you've established that Islam is "not like other religions" now what are you going to do about it? Are you going to talk shit or get off your ass and do something to fix the problem you've identified?

Well, if the vast majority of Americans, like Bill Maher, decide that Islam is intolerable and endeavor to expunge this religion from the earth would that make them worse than ISIS? We're talking about killing a over a billion people if that's the case, so if Billy Boy wants to do something other than talk shit he's giving justification for the worst atrocity in history.

not really sure what you mean, but:

if there was a poll that indicated that 80 % of Americans wanted to destroy Islam, because it's not like other religions, would they be the same or worse than the Muslims polled in Bills anecdote?

If he can use that idea to condemn over a billion people then why can't the same type of idea be used to condemn 300 million people?

If he was issuing a fair and and reasonable critique that would be one thing but collectively accusing over a billion people of being party to horrible atrocities simply because they follow a religion he doesn't like is demonization not criticism. And the thing about demonizing people is that demons can't just be ignored, sooner or later you have to do something about them.

If human beings weren't animals that have a propensity to gas millions in concentration camps or slaughter hundreds of thousands with machetes I might agree with you guys

but the fact is they are that kind of animal, that kind of shit happens all of the time. it's an instinctive behavior and it has to be over ridden with reason.
