i want to say that sith is luke skywalker but the entire f**k extended universe was de-canonized so who the f**k knows where this is going.

Not a redo...supposed to be taking place 20 years later or something. Cautious optimism. Abrams is far better suited for SW than Trek. Shooting on 35mm film, just like the old days. Lots of practical effects instead of pure CGI. Potential to not suck is certainly there.

luke joins the darkside to destroy the rest of the empire and then refounds the jedi temple focusing on a balance of light and dark.

It's going to be made with children and early teenagers as the target audience. You all are going to hate it and act like it wasn't good enough specifically to troll you or something. So don't bother getting your hopes up. There's no money in throwing the old school Star Wars fans a bone here cause you'll all go watch it no matter what.
