I'm sure that people are going to wonder why she wasn't more worried about her kid. At least, that was one of my reactions. But, I won't second guess her (or the guy's) reaction for a second. This was great. And I don't mean that in a "fan gets up and cheers" way - more of a "way to go mom and dad" way.

So this was big news here dallas yesterday (obviously), and a couple of facts have come to light that might explain her instant response to that asshat.

-she lost a 4 year old to medical problems only a few months ago
-she had just picked up her 13 yo from middle school merely minutes before
-that van is her only mode of transportation
-she's kind of street and this probably wasn't her first rodeo regarding throwing some hands

Also, the perp was armed, so this could have turned out really bad if he had his senses. He appeared a bit woozy from the wreck in the video, because he wasn't a little dude himself. She's kind of a local hero at the moment and I think a you fund it account has been set up to try and replace her ride.

Was pretty good theater though. The braking distance for a dodge didn't exactly get a good showing however.

She should be charged with assault. There was really no self defense going on here, just assault after he rear ended her car.
