Mic Goes to Costa Rica

So I'm going to Costa Rica with my dad and uncle for a week long vacation at the end of this week. I know at least one person here has been, so I'd like to ask are there any recommendations or bits of advice you have? Is there anything that I need to be worried about?

Bring plenty of neon coloured tank-tops, drink liberally, be confident in your gringo Spanish, and don't go anything outdoorsy if you are hungover. The humidity and exertion will bring you to the edge of death.

If I was to go there all inland stuff would be off the table. Mosquitoes and humid jungle? No way. I'd be fishing all day and hanging on the beach eating my catch and drinking with the ex-pats by night.

We are supposed to go ziplining at one point, hiking through the forest and we're going to Arenal too as part of the adventure tour. Arriving and leaving from San Jose.
Also, I know there's an exit fee at the airport.
