Ok granted, not a lot of money but

Flying into BWI from Dallas because it costs nearly $165 more to fly to Providence ($110 to arrive early afternoon)
Taking Amtrak (overnight train) from BWI to Providence (total: $65.00 one way)
in Providence for 3 days
Taking Amtrak (overnight train) from Providence to BWI ($65.00 one way)
in Baltimore for 4 days
Flying from BWI to Dallas ($110)

Total cost: 350.00

Flying round trip to Providence = 550.00 (minimum and at shitty flight times taking up the whole day)

I don't understand why BWI is so much cheaper compared to other airports. when i got a flight from BWI to LAS a couple months ago it was $100 cheaper than any of the other DC airports, and cheaper than JFK (the airport i had a connection in on that flight).

I didn't have any problems in BWI last time I was there. The TSA people were even friendly to me (which is rare). I asked if I had to go through the Backscatter Xray (full well knowing I don't) and the guy said "No sir, you do have the option of being pat down if you'd like," when typically I get a dirty look followed by a sigh.

And the airport wasn't dirty or anything.
