Fitness thread.
Anybody else like intermittent fasting and derive significant benefits from it? I also recently started trying to get more sleep which seems beneficial for recovery and performance. As I age I find recovery and injury prevention is as or more important than the actual workouts.
I also sometimes use ice baths after long runs or when my legs are sore but I'm wondering more and more about efficacy. I have cysts and meniscal damage in both knees though so I dont think it can hurt necessarily despite some data that in limiting inflammation it precludes the body fully adapting to the new strains (i.e. getting swole af cuz).
