two weeks of clay matthews getting absurd penalties for playing the game of football. this cost the packers the win (it was an interception at almost the end of the game that was called back):
here he is specifically trying to not put his weight on the QB and the NFL doubles down and posts on twitter that he was (and also neglects to point out that the rule is only relevant if the passer is in a defenseless posture: when throwing the ball or right after throwing it):
which got me thinking. why not just have the QBs wear flags?
