whether or not the book is old or not is irrelevant because it describes the difference between how non civilized people and civilized people perceive and react to the world.
It gives real world anthropological examples that support these points and adequately proves the case that mutual aid rather than conflict has shaped human evolution.
Your paranoid, xenophobic viewpoint and indifference toward the fate of your neighbors is not the default for human behavior. It is the conditioned response and viewpoint of someone conditioned to civilized mass society. It is just as alien and backward to someone who hasn't been exposed to civilization as their society seems to you.
You can continue to be ignorant if you want. I can't make you use actual data to base your opinions upon.
