I bought .5 bitcoins about a week ago. I wish I had bought in when I first heard about it (2010). Bitcoin is unlike any financial 'product' the world has ever seen. I am writing a Seeking Alpha about it that should be published soon.

Nice article G! Very well balanced and informative. I'm guessing the "real" value at this point, all factors taken into consideration, would shake out at around $250, the rest is pure speculation. However I believe we will see 1200 by xmas, and perhaps even 2000 by the beginning of the New Year. However there has been a lot of bad press and execution is very problematic so that may not prove to be the case.

What's needed is a better exchange so various types of custom orders and leverage can be employed as strategic positions.

In the meantime the vast majority will never accept a digital "currency" that isn't backed by a government. Do fiat currency have any real intrinsic value, of course not, but people accept it as long as there are no wild value fluctuations.
