I think neo-classical economics is pseudo-science, basically, and unquestioning adherence to its mistaken precepts is making our society blind to how the economic basis for society is decaying right out from under our feet.

A lot of economic assumptions made by political leaders are not science but dogma, Sir James was right and he is in the enviable position not to be beholden to any organization and he can speak without distortion.
