We have some publically owned banks like the Credit Unions and I believe they are superior to the Fascist banks! I am happy to participate in 'private' banks if they were in fact 'private'. But ours aren't. They're govt. controlled and we could easily get Cyprussed! Me, I don't trust those Fascist banks.

I like the idea of publically-owned banks. But I hesitate only because of the technical aspects of implementing them. They would need to be accountable to the public while being capable of acting long term, and these goals are somewhat opposed to one another.
