If Uber can offer nicer cars at a lower rate for consumers than taxi can, then taxi should get out.
Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.
If guns are not outlawed, the in-laws will have guns.

If the taxi services can develop an app that allow them to connect taxis to users in a way that is as efficient or more efficient than Uber can then more power to them. But if they can't do it efficiently, I don't see a problem with them going out of business.
