If the Republicans controlled the Senate they would do that regardless. Reid's move would give them extra cover but they would have changed the rules to repeal with 51 votes either way. Reid shouldn't have dragged his feet. When the republicans have the senate they're gonna do what they're gonna do.

it sets a dangerous precedent, mainly that senate rules are now more than minor political tools, but methods of completely trolling the country one way or the other.
i mean i want the filibuster gone as it is now, but the way it was done by reid was caustic and set up some revenge f**k down the road from republicans.

Unbelievable Harry Reid and the Democrats finally grew some balls and Senate filibusters of Judicial nominees are a thing of the past. I now hope Obama fills the vacancies on the bench with the most liberal judges that can be found.
