Yeah. When I worked at the Ritz, President Bush was planning a visit to New Orleans. He (they?) wanted to stay at our hotel. We began making preparations, which included:
- emptying a full floor of the hotel, plus the parts of 2 floors directly above and below the President's room (for a full week; once they did a sweep, no guests could stay in those rooms).
- Putting metal detectors at all doors during the visit.
- Background checks of all guests in the hotel (if they refused to sign a consent, we were to find them another hotel)
- No valet parking during the visit (integrated parking garage)
Basically, after analyzing it, we told them to find another hotel. Revenue > POTUS, FTW!!
