Obama Passed On Chance To Save ISIS Hostages

The U.S. government obtained intelligence on the possible location of American captives held by ISIS in Syria last year, but Obama administration officials waited nearly a month to launch a rescue mission because of concerns that the intelligence wasn’t conclusive and some of it had come from a foreign service, U.S. and British officials told The Daily Beast.

It may sounds horrible, but it would be best to keep your loved ones from going over there with ridiculous notions of saving the world. That would probably be the best plan.

People don't seem to understand that military lives are put on the line every time a hostage rescue is attempted. The government should not move forward with a rescue unless they are confident in the intelligence. We don't even know now whether she was actually there. Mueller must have understood the risk she was taking when she chose to travel to the Syrian boarder. It is unfortunate that we could not rescue her, but I think the U.S. did everything it should have.
